NEW YORK – As his team sunk into a funk through a three-game losing streak, Ed Cooley would return to his home after each loss and sulk.
It’s the life of a basketball coach, moving from game to game but living with the strain of the results. Cooley’s son, Isaiah, has been at his side throughout his 13-years as a head coach and can read him better than most.
“My son said `Dad, you’re not coaching with joy. You’re not coaching with any joy or love. You’re angry, you’re frustrated,u2034 Cooley said with emotion in his voice.
