PC 7, UMass 2: Five power-play goals for Friars

PROVIDENCE — Providence College scored five power-play goals on the way to a 7-2 win over UMass on Saturday night at Schneider Arena.

Freshman defenseman Ben Mirageas and junior Scott Conway led the way with four points each. Mirageas had two goals and two assists. Conway had a goal and three assists. Brian Pinho had a goal and two assists. Kasper Bjorkqvist and Erik Foley each had a goal and an assist.

Pinho got the scoring started for the Friars (6-4) on a 2-on-1 just 4:45 into the contest.

Just 1:25 later, the Minutemen (5-6) tied the score on John Leonard’s goal.
