PROVIDENCE — Seven Providence College players scored a goal as the Friars swept a weekend series against Merrimack with a 7-5 victory on Saturday night at Schneider Arena.
Jack Dugan recorded a three points (goal, two assists) for the Friars, who scored four second-period goals to improve to 7-3-1 on the season.
Goals from Scott Conway, Josh Wilkins and Dugan gave Providence a 3-2 lead after the first period.
Merrimack’s Michael Babcock scored an unassisted goal 4:41 into the second period to tie it at 3-3 but Providence answered when Tyce Thompson scored at 9:29 and Kasper Bjorkqvist scored 11 seconds later to make it 5-3.
