PROVIDENCE – There weren’t many style points on display Tuesday night at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center but at this point it’s clear Ed Cooley and his Providence Friars don’t really care.
The Friars took care of business against Fairleigh Dickinson, 69-59, but did so with more of a sledge hammer look. PC did most of its damage inside and overpowered the Knights all night to improve to 5-2 on the season.
Up next is a date against the Rhode Island Rams Saturday afternoon.
Providence pounded the ball inside early and often and scored 20 of its 25 field goals in the paint.
