PROVIDENCE – Playing short-handed and against little competition, the Providence Friars still had more than enough in the tank to breeze to victory Saturday at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
The Friars bounced back from their disappointing loss at Northwestern by knocking around Saint Peter’s, 68-47. PC survived a poor second half effort and still won comfortably.
David Duke led the Friars with 17 points and six assists. Alpha Diallo added 15 points and nine rebounds.
Providence led by 21 points at halftime but got off to a sloppy start in the second half and couldn’t blow the Peacocks out.
