PC 66, BC 51: Without Dunn and Bentil, Friars gut out a win

  • PROVIDENCE – It was a game with many more negatives than positives but it was also another badly-needed win for the Providence Friars.
With Kris Dunn limited to 15 minutes due to an upset stomach and Ben Bentil out for the second half after turning an ankle, Ed Cooley dipped deep into his bench but the 15th ranked Friars gutted out a 66-51 victory over Boston College.
Rodney Bullock scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half to save the Friars. PC led by 17 points early in the opening half but the lead melted to 37-23 at the half and to four points with 11 minutes to play.
