PROVIDENCE — When things weren’t going right, the Providence College women’s basketball team wasn’t concerned. Grinding out games is what the Lady Friars did all season just to get to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament, so trying to gut out a win was nothing new.
There were flashes of dominance on Sunday against Penn. There were moments when it looked like the Friars were going to roll, but the Quakers didn’t let it happen. In the end, PC went back to what got them to the postseason in the first place.
