PROVIDENCE — Brandon Duhaime, Scott Conway and Josh Wilkins had a goal and an assist each as Providence College beat Northeastern, 5-4, at Schneider Arena on Saturday night.

It was the first Hockey East win of the season for the 19th-ranked Friars (4-4-2, 1-2-1), who lost to Northeastern (4-5-4, 1-4-2) in Boston on Friday night.

Hayden Hawkey stopped 20 shots for PC, including a stop with 11 seconds left to preserve the win.

After Friday’s loss, PC coach Nate Leaman made wholesale lineup changes. He pulled Steve Ruggiero, Bryan Lemos, Shane Kavanagh and Vimal Sukumaran and inserted Alex Cromwell, Niko Rufo, Truman Reed and Chase Zieky.
