PC 4, Northeastern 4: Huskies score two late goals

BOSTON — Northeastern scored two goals in the final 8:33 of the third period and tied Providence College, 4-4, on Friday night at Matthews Arena.

Eric Williams scored at 11:27 to cut the Friars’ lead to 4-3 and Adam Gaudette scored with 47 seconds left after the Huskies had pulled their goalie for an extra skater.

Scott Conway opened the scoring for Providence (16-8-3, 9-5-3 Hockey East) at 9:58 of the first period. Jeremy Davies tied it for Northeastern (15-6-4, 11-4-2) with 1:53 left in the period.

Conway and Ben Mirageas scored goals 1:54 apart late in the second period to give the Friars a 3-1 lead.
