PROVIDENCE — Underdog Brown University hung tough against top-ranked Providence College in Game One of the Mayor’s Cup at Schneider Arena on Thursday night.
The Friars came away with a 4-1 win, improving their regular-season record to 12-0-3, but it was a grinder for most of the way.
Steve McParland, Bryan Lemos, Mark Jankowski and Brandon Tanev (empty net) scored for Providence.
