NEW YORK – Good start, bad finish in the first half of Providence College’s Big East quarterfinal game Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
The Friars shot out to an impressive 12-point lead midway through the first half but were out-scored 10-0 over the final 4:52 and lead Butler, 32-30, at the half.
Ben Bentil has 15 points for the Friars, who are shooting 50 percent from the field. Kris Dunn has seven points and five assists but drew a late charging call for his second foul in the half.
