DURHAM, N.H. - Brian Pinho, Brandon Duhaime and Bryan Lemos each had a goal to lift 19th-ranked Providence College to a 3-2 victory over New Hampshire on Saturday night at the Whittemore Center.
The victory, along with a 3-0 shutout on Friday, gave the Friars a weekend sweep of the Wildcats. It was the Friars fifth straight victory dating back to Jan. 14.
Providence outshot New Hampshire on Saturday, 48-23, including 18-5 during a scoreless first period. The Friars' 48 shots tied a season-high.
Pinho's seventh goal of the season - a slap shot from the left wing - at 9:27 of the second period gave Providence a 1-0 lead.
