PITTSBURGH — Scott Conway and Kasper Bjorkqvist each had a goal as 11th-ranked Providence College won the Three Rivers Classic championship on Saturday night with a 2-1 victory over Robert Morris at PPG Paints Arena.
Bjorkqvist, a Pittsburgh Penguins draft pick, scored the eventual game-winning goal late in the second period on a power-play tally off a rebound. It was his seventh goal of the season. Brian Pinho and Jacob Bryson earned the assists.
Providence took a 1-0 lead after the first 20 minutes as Conway went top shelf off a rebound on Robert Morris goalie Francis Marotte for his fifth goal of the season.
