Opportunity Lost at MSG

Providence entered the Big East Tournament as the league’s hottest team, having won six straight in a late season NCAA Tournament push, but the Friars struggled in all facets offensively in its 70-58 loss to Creighton on Thursday night.

PC missed 12 of its 26 attempts at the free throw line, allowed 26 points off of turnovers, and simply looked jittery for most of the night.

Throughout much of their six game winning streak the Friars trailed, but stayed poised, chipping away at double digits deficits against NCAA Tournament hopefuls like Xavier, Creighton, and Marquette before bouncing back to win.
