PROVIDENCE — At the halfway point of the Big East season, we know just about all we need to about this year’s Providence College Friars.
Or do we?
A look at the standings says the Friars are 3-6 and stuck in a pack of teams that could break out and make a run at third place and a first-round bye in the Big East Tournament in March. A look at the league’s statistics, however, tells another story.
Providence, which hosts Georgetown on Tuesday night at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, is quite simply the worst offensive team among the 10 Big East outfits.
