New security measures to be implemented at Dunkin' Donuts Center

Beginning with the Providence Bruins game on Friday night, fans will be required to pass through metal detectors for all events at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, as part of new security measures announced Wednesday.

Arena security personnel may perform pat-downs if that is considered necessary. The arena will also prohibit bags that are larger than 13 5/8 inches by 15 1/4 inches, while cameras (other than cellphones) will not be permitted. Additional video cameras have also been installed outside and inside the venue. ts Center security staff will be located between the screening areas and the doorways for observation and protection.
