PROVIDENCE — The NCAA's placement of Providence College in the East Regional at the Dunkin' Donuts Center ruffled a few feathers around college hockey.
For the second time in three seasons, the Friars will have the opportunity to play just a couple of miles from campus. That's seen in some quarters as an undeserved advantage.
Friar coach Nate Leaman defended the NCAA's decision on Thursday.
"I know a lot of people that might be unhappy that we're here, but for NCAA Hockey this was the right move.
