Providence College went from frequent contention to on the board in its 2021 recruiting class on Friday.
Michigan forward Legend Geeter announced his commitment to the Friars on his personal Instagram page. The 6-foot-8 wing selected Providence out of a final list that also included Big East rival Georgetown, Missouri, Duquesne and Western Michigan.
Geeter starred at River Rouge High in suburban Detroit last season, averaging 16 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots. He also played grassroots basketball in Nike’s EYBL with The Family, a strong program that has produced former Friars like LaDontae Henton and Junior Lomomba.
