PROVIDENCE — It’s official. The Providence Friars are ready for post-season basketball.
The Friars sent that emphatic message this week with a gritty win over Xavier and then in Saturday’s regular-season finale, a 93-55 thrashing of DePaul.
Now it’s onto the all-important games of March.
The Friars will carry a six-game winning streak to the Big East Tournament this week and it’s hard to recall any Ed Cooley team appearing more prepared to play for a championship.
"Guys are making shots from everywhere, so I hope the Good Lord continues to bless our elbows, our shoulders, our legs," Cooley said.
