Like any ultra-competitive coach, Providence College’s Nate Leaman takes every loss hard. But the soul-crushing defeat at the hands of Notre Dame with 26 seconds left in the NCAA East Regional final two Saturdays ago was particularly hard to swallow.
“I still have a bad feeling in my gut. In the past I’ve been able to get over it a little quicker,″ Leaman said the other day.
“This team just kept improving. I felt like every game we were getting better. I’m still sick we’re not practicing right now. I wish we could practice tomorrow,″ he said.
