-- Providence College freshman Jack Dugan’s adjustment to college hockey has taken no time at all. The Vegas Golden Knights fifth-rounder leads the No. 3 Friars in scoring with two goals and seven points in six games. On Thursday, he was named Hockey East Rookie of the Month for October.
“I’ve been surprised with his reads off the puck, how quickly he picked that up,” coach Nate Leaman said. “I’m encouraged by the decisions he makes with the puck and how much you can trust him as a player.
