Providence College moved up to sixth in the national polls this week after sweeping Boston College and Boston University last weekend.
Their best player through the first seven games of the season?
My money is on defenseman Jacob Bryson.
The sophomore from Ontario may be unheralded – he didn’t make the Hockey East All-Rookie team last season -- but as a top player on a good team, that won’t be the case for much longer.
Bryson doesn’t possess a sizzling one-timer like former teammate Jake Walman (who in college hockey does?). He doesn’t make end-to-end dashes that leave the building buzzing.
