Mark Divver: Friars counting on Conway to continue to put up points

At every stop along the zigzag path that led him to Providence College, center Scott Conway has put up points.

As a youngster, he did it in England before moving to the U.S. at age 13. He did it in Florida, Michigan, Texas and Indiana as he climbed the ladder through bantam, midget and junior hockey.

He scored 26 points in 34 games as a freshman at Penn State in 2014-15 and made the Big Ten All-Rookie team, alongside budding NHL stars such as Dylan Larkin and Zach Werenski. Last season, Conway torched the Junior A British Columbia Hockey League, scoring a league-leading 56 goals and 116 points in 56 games for Penticton.
