BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Kris Dunn is headed to Minnesota.
The Providence College All-American was taken fifth overall by the Timberwolves in Thursday night's NBA Draft.
Dunn will join one of the better young teams in the NBA. Minnesota already has NBA Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine.
The draft unfolded as expected off the top with Ben Simmons (LSU) going first overall to Philadelphia and Brandon Ingram (Duke) going to the Lakers. The Celtics took Jaylen Brown of California and the Suns went for foreign 7-footer Dragan Bender fourth.
