Kris Dunn helped lure another Kris to Providence College.
Dunn, the former Friar All-American guard and current Chicago Bull, was a featured performer on Fox Sports’ blanket coverage of Big East basketball. A young high schooler from Raleigh, N.C. noticed.
“I started likening Providence because of Kris Dunn. He was one of my favorite players in college basketball, and he has my name,” said Kris Monroe.
Monroe, a 6-7 forward at St. David’s School in Raleigh, committed to the Friars two weeks ago. He’ll join the Class of 2018 that also includes top 50 rated guard A.
