The stockings are emptied, the tree is tossed to the curb and we won’t look for reindeer over the State House for another year.
We also won’t see any more dogs disguised as major college basketball teams traipsing through the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. A few will still make their way to Kingston to face the Rams but the good news is conference play has arrived in college basketball.

URI wrapped up its non-league schedule Wednesday with an 80-60 win over Florida Gulf Coast. The Rams’ promising start (8-3) leads into the Atlantic 10 slate where Rhody opens with a two-game home stand against George Mason and La Salle.
