PROVIDENCE — Drew Edwards is about to add to a passport that would be the envy of any backpacking college student.
Edwards is entering his senior year at Providence College next month but first he’s getting ready for a 10-day, four-city trip to Italy with his Friar basketball teammates and coaches. A few administrators, boosters and friends of the PC program will tag along as well.
This European travel experience is old hat for Edwards, a 21-year-old from Perry Hall. Md. PC’s coaching staff placed him on a team that traveled to Croatia in August of 2015 before he even enrolled.
