PHILADELPHIA - This is a game where any of Ed Cooley's motivational magic can remain tucked in his back pocket.
Cooley's Providence Friars will get their yearly shot Saturday afternoon at Villanova, the Big East's standard bearer. The Wildcats also just happen to be the reigning national champions and the number-one ranked team in the country.
"The game speaks for itself," Cooley said. "Playing the national champions on the road with a shot at the number one team, it's a great test and a great opportunity."
The Friars are one of the rare teams to enjoy any success against the Wildcats in Philadelphia.
