PROVIDENCE – Now this is certainly a wake-up call.
Three days after rolling over the Connecticut Huskies, the Providence Friars came home to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center Saturday afternoon and were beaten by the Carlton University Ravens, 77-67
The Friars struggled through a difficult, foul-filled effort and never found their offensive groove in a 36 percent shooting effort. The Ravens, who’ve beaten Alabama, Vanderbilt and Northeastern in the past several months, pulled away late to secure an impressive win.
Freshman Makai Ashton-Langford led the Friars with 20 points. Alpha Diallo (19) was the only other Friar in double figures.
