Much had been made of Rhode Island’s victory over Providence on Saturday night, as Cooley kicked off his PC career with seven straight wins over Rhody prior to this weekend’s loss.
Brown has been a different story.
Cooley’s Friars lost at Brown in 2012, and again at home in 2014. The ’13 game came down to the wire. On that night Josh Fortune snapped a tie game with 33 seconds to play to give Providence a lead that they wouldn’t surrender.
Fortune’s shot came from virtually the same spot as a late 3-pointer by Jalen Lindsey tonight.
