PROVIDENCE — It’s easy to lose Isaiah Jackson in the shuffle amidst the Providence College attack.
Jackson doesn’t sit atop opponent’s scouting reports. He isn’t a top-50 recruit. He isn’t even a starter.
But for the umpteenth time in his Friars career, the Gainesville, Fla., native was as important as any other player on the court for Ed Cooley’s team. Jackson’s 13 points, nine rebounds and tough defense helped push Providence along in a rocky 59-50 win over the University of Rhode Island.
“He’s our sixth man that we can count on,” Cooley said. “He’s definitely a sixth starter.
