Greg Gantt says he had heard enough from the many college basketball programs that were pursuing him over the last few years. Ed Cooley and the Providence College Friars couldn’t be happier.
Gantt, a 6-7 forward from Fayetteville, N.C., verbally committed to Providence on Friday. The top 75 recruit was PC’s top target in the 2019 class and considered a host of other schools, including Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Texas, Florida and other schools.
“I just thought after the relationship I have with Providence and coach (Ed) Cooley, why wait,” Gantt told the Providence Journal Friday.
