MILWAUKEE — PC’s Nate Watson finished with 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting with five rebounds, a strong performance against the Big East’s leading shot blocker in Marquette big man Theo John in the Friars’ 79-68 loss on Sunday. John finished with five blocks but just two points while battling foul trouble, and Watson was able to take advantage to match his career-high.
The sophomores surely haven’t seen the last of each other.
“Two physical bodies in there,” Providence coach Ed Cooley said.
