PHILADELPHIA — If any road win in the Big East is a bonus, the Providence Friars are piling up a windfall this season.
PC improved to 5-0 on the road, 3-0 in conference play. The latest win is also the greatest of the season as the Friars found a way to snap Villanova’s 22-game Big East winning streak and a 32-game home winning streak in a 82-76 overtime win.
“This is a great win coming against a team that I think is going to compete for a national championship,” said PC coach Ed Cooley.
