NEWARK, N.J. — From one point of view, Myles Powell was a superhero Wednesday night. From another, he was a super villain.
Either way, he authored an extraordinary performance, according to Friars coach Ed Cooley.
“He put on a cape a did a good job,” Cooley said of the Seton Hall star, who entered the game averaging 21.2 points per game. Powell left the Prudential Center having torched the Friars for 31 points on 12-of-23 shooting.
Powell’s performance helped the Pirates snap a four-game losing streak in the Big East, a fact that wasn’t lost on Cooley.
