Friars Journal: Run against Wagner was familiar territory for PC's Kalif Young

PROVIDENCE - It might have been relatively new territory for Providence College coach Ed Cooley, but freshman forward Kalif Young had seen this sort of thing before.

The Friars' first-half run in their 76-54 win over Wagner on Saturday was nothing new for the Canadian big man, as his prep career at powerhouse Orangeville was full of such bursts against overmatched opponents. The presence of two top-10 picks in the 2016 NBA Draft - Kentucky guard Jamal Murray and Sudanese forward Thon Maker - helped transform the Ontario-based outfit into one of the top high school programs in North America, and the results often showed on game nights.
