ANAHEIM Cal. — The clock is ticking on the Friars’ senior class.
Much of the preseason hype surrounding this Friars team revolved around a deep roster with plenty of experience, especially in a five-player class of seniors. Through eight games, however, the seniors haven’t played anywhere near expectations.
From leading scorer Alpha Diallo to starting center Kalif Young, the group has struggled. Diallo is shooting 21 percent (7-of-33) from the 3-point line heading into Sunday’s seventh place game against Pepperdine in the Wooden Legacy. Young has more fouls than field goals in his 18 minutes per game.
