PROVIDENCE — Ed Cooley knew weeks, if not months, ago that this year’s Friar team has plenty of depth.
Who would start the season opener against Siena on Tuesday was a bit more of a question mark. That answer was solidified in the last few days with freshmen guards David Duke and A.J. Reeves joining senior Isaiah Jackson and juniors Alpha Diallo and Kalif Young.
Sure enough, Cooley came off the bench with waves of reserves. He used 11 players in the opening 12 minutes of the first half.
