NEWTON, Mass. — Over the last 15 seasons the Friars have enjoyed more than their fair share of success away from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
The Friars have found a way to win at Memphis, South Carolina and Rhode Island outside of conference play. Former Big East partners Cincinnati and Connecticut both lost home games to PC in that time span. So have current Big East opponents Villanova, Georgetown, Marquette, Creighton and Butler.
The place where the Friars couldn’t seem to find a path to victory is the Conte Forum at Boston College.
Tuesday night’s 100-95 overtime win changed all that.
