BOSTON – Providence College will lose two seniors who were in the lineup on Friday night and possibly a junior or two to the lure of an NHL contract, but the cupboard won’t be bare going into next season.
Brian Pinho, PC’s captain and first-line center, and fourth-line forward Robbie Hennessey will graduate in the spring.
There are some impressive recruits in the pipeline for the fall.
Topping the list is Thayer Academy star Jay O’Brien, the top player in New England prep hockey this winter.
NHL scouts flocked to Thayer games all winter to watch O’Brien, a high-scoring center from Hingham, Mass.
