Providence Friar fans had better get used to a larger dose of freshman Greg Gantt the rest of this season.
The forward from North Carolina started his second straight game at Creighton on Saturday evening as Ed Cooley continued to adjust his lineups due to a few injuries. Gantt replaced senior Emmitt Holt in a win over St. John’s on Wednesday and remained in the starting five, even as Holt returned to action while dealing with a balky ankle.
“Greg has a great future,” Cooley said. “He’s ready to play and is getting better.
