PROVIDENCE - Greg McDermott left the Dunkin' Donuts Center with a smile for the first time on Saturday afternoon.
The Creighton coach has a lot to smile about. He's coaching the No. 10 team in the country, has a bushel of good players and picked up his first win over the Friars in four tries in Providence, 78-64.
"I haven't enjoyed my trips here before so I'm going to smile a little bit tonight," McDermott said.
McDermott noted that the Friars beat a good team with his son, Doug, on board back in 2014 and were overwhelmed by the Friars behind Kris Dunn and Ben Bentil the last two seasons.
