PROVIDENCE — As the Friar players walked off the team plane on Saturday after a crushing double-overtime loss at Georgetown, coach Ed Cooley took the temperature of his group and noticed a long face on freshman guard David Duke.
Duke wasn’t a factor in the 96-90 loss and saw his court time cut to just 14 minutes of action. It was a no-show effort on a day when the Friars needed just a little bit extra to secure a win.
“I saw his body language a little and just sent him a text to give me a call,” Cooley said.
