OMAHA, Neb. — The health of guard Kyron Cartwright was a factor for Providence on Sunday after the senior had started Big East play with 21 points, 15 assists and four steals in the Friars’ win at St. John’s on Thursday night.

Cartwright aggravated an ankle injury midway through the first half in an 83-64 loss to Creighton, and struggled to leave his usual impact on the game. He played just seven minutes in the second half and finished with two points and five assists.

“We play a lot through Kyron,” PC guard Drew Edwards said.
