ANAHEIM, Cal. — The Providence College Friars find themselves in Disney Land in search of a fresh spin to their season.
After a six-game start that represented the easiest portion of their schedule, the Friars begin the Wooden Legacy on Thanksgiving Day (2 p.m) hoping to kick their game into another gear. The Friars own a 4-2 record with the losses coming against the only two high Division I opponents they’ve faced. Losing at Northwestern and at home to Penn has shaken the confidence of many of the team’s fans, but not the players and coaches.
“This team is going to be good,” coach Ed Cooley said after the 81-75 loss to Penn.
