WASHINGTON, D.C. – The clock is ticking on the NCAA Tournament fortunes of the Providence Friars.
After losing two of their last three games at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center (with a little help from Alumni Hall), the Friars have painted themselves into a perilous corner in the last week of play in the ultra-competitive Big East. With an 8-7 record and three games to play, the Friars could finish anywhere from third to ninth. That wide range carries many scenarios, from splendid to putrid.
PC (17-11, 8-7) has three games left before the Big East Tournament, beginning with a visit to Georgetown Saturday.
