PROVIDENCE — Just moments after the Providence Friars received their NCAA Tournament bid on Sunday night, they exited their locker room and put a positive spin on the difficult task that awaits.

The good news is that for a record fourth straight March, the Friars are headed to the NCAA tourney. PC (20-12) will play Southern California (24-9) on Wednesday at about 9:10 p.m. at the First Four in Dayton, Ohio. That's the bad news. The winner will hurry off to Tulsa, Okla., and prepare to face sixth-seeded Southern Methodist (30-4) on Friday.
