Not much went right for PC in Chicago. Ben Bentil went down with an ankle injury in the first half and tried to return in the second, but was hobbled and watched as his teammates played uphill for virtually the entire second half.
Would Providence have come out on top with a healthy Bentil? Most likely, but that’s beside the point. DePaul entered this game 1-8 in conference play and PC played like they expected the Demons to play to their record.
DePaul opened the game on an 8-0 run, out-rebounded Providence 48-24, and led for the final 18 minutes of the game.
