Boston College torched Providence’s defense in the second half, scoring 54 points on 71% shooting from the field as they knocked out the Friars 79-69 on Friday afternoon.

Providence led 29-25 at the halftime break, but played uphill over the first 20 minutes. The Eagles led for over 13 minutes in the opening stanza before Rodney Bullock started to get it rolling late.

The Friars led by as many as seven in the second half, taking a 38-31 advantage in the opening minutes of the second, but BC exploded midway through the second.
