PROVIDENCE - It’s official. The Providence Friars are ready for post-season basketball.
The Friars sent that emphatic message this week with a gritty win over Xavier and then in Saturday’s regular season finale, a 93-55 thrashing of DePaul.
Now it’s onto the all-important games of March.
The Friars will carry a six-game winning streak to the Big East Tournament this week. They’ll face Butler in Thursday’s quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. PC is 19-12 overall and set a new program record for conference wins with a 12-6 Big East record.
